The meeting in Vancouver was an eye opener for me in spite of the assumptions I have had before. I could see attritions between artists, class, color et cetera in a positive way that would have not been possible elsewhere. I was aware of the place you had created for yourself vis a vis colleagues who shared the same vision and experience but it was more contrastive and unpredictable in spite of the predictions one would make. You embodies the classic mirages of feminist, pluralist-locutionist, affirmative Asian-Canadian artist but with the added advantage of being a multicultural-self from the onset before you set up yourself in Vancouver -- mirages in the sense it is there but not there, being betwixt hence constantly crossing the liminal and non-liminal. You are a glocal artist. These observations have made me realized the intensity of our meeting and how we as a group only vocalized opinions that were much safer for us within the matrix of the crowd who came to be with us and dialoging within the frames you had designed. We were only transversing opinions but have yet to critically deconstruct trajectories that had couched those opinions. The meeting had privileged me to all these after being there with you and your wonderful friends.
